The Rainforest Way
The Rainforest Way is an exciting new drive that lets visitors and locals explore the spectacular World Heritage Rainforests and the unique hinterland of the Northern Rivers (NSW) and South East Queensland. The Rainforest Way links 14 magnificent World Heritage National Parks and makes it easy for visitors to discover the region’s natural, cultural and historic attractions.
The Rainforest Way leads you through the heart of the region and is a relaxed scenic alternative to the Pacific Highway for north or south bound travellers, linking the towns of Casino, Kyogle, Rathdowney, Beaudesert, Nerang, Canungra, Murwillumbah, Nimbin, Lismore and Coraki.
Whether you decide to explore only part of the area or take a few days and discover it all, you’ll find plenty of services and attractions along the Rainforest Way.
Need a place to stay? There are plenty of B&B’s, rainforest retreats, farmstays, hotels, motels, bush tents or you can find your own spot to camp out under the stars.
Loops & Trails
With the ancient volcanic caldera of Mt Warning (Wollumbin) as its hub, the Rainforest Way also features a network of secondary touring routes or “loops and trails” that provide ease of access to a range of graded walking trails, waterfalls and breathtaking lookouts.
